Dublin, Ireland - 18 August 2009 - Afilias, a global provider of internet infrastructure services, today announced that Ali Rezafard, the lead member in the development and implementation of Afilias' Discovery Services platform, has been selected to chair the Software Action Group at EPCglobal.

EPCglobal leads the development of industry-driven standards for the Electronic Product Code^TM (EPC) to support the use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) in implementing traceability technology for supply chains.
