The Security Data Analyst will actively analyze external and internal data sources to identify and investigate cyber-security threat patterns with respect to malware, phishing, and spam in the Top Level Internet Domains supported by Afilias, in order to develop domain name safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor data sources for patterns and inconsistencies; identify trends and relationships of data related to spam, phishing, WHOIS records, IP addresses, etc.
As a NOC Operator you will support the Afilias registry network monitoring team to assess Network Performance on a real time basis; identify and escalate issues affecting network performance, and provide supporting root-cause analysis.
The Internet Operations Specialist will join the Content Propagation and Resolution team ("CPR"). CPR is responsible for running the DNS of over 10% of the Internet, as well as devising and providing support for emerging protocols on the 'Net. In this role, the Internet operations specialist will design and implement the supporting infrastructure to run name-services applications in a globally distributed environment.
The Internet Operations Specialist may also take an active lead in developing and shaping the future of the Internet by working within the Internet community to define, build and implement emerging technologies.
