November, 2003: Celebrating the International Internet's Birthday

A celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the first international connection of the ARPANET and 30 years of "International Packet Networking." Although today's Internet was launched in 1983, its development started back in the 1960s. The first ever connection of the ARPANET (the predecessor of today's Internet) was between University College London and Kjeller, Norway in 1973. October 28-31, 2003: Afilias in Carthage

Afilias participated in the ICANN meeting in Carthage, Tunisia.

At the meeting, Afilias was the main sponsor for the AFTLD (African Top-Level domains) name server training program.

March 14, 2003: Afilias at CeBIT

Afilias participated in a panel discussion about domain registration at CeBIT in Hannover, Germany.
