.AG, .BZ, .HN, .LC, and .VC are the next top-level domains to be signed with Domain Name System Security Extensions
DUBLIN, IRELAND - 13 October 2010 - Afilias, a global provider of Internet infrastructure services, today announced that it has enabled Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC) for five country code Top-Level-Domains (ccTLDs) in Latin America and the Caribbean region. The ccTLDs whose zones have been secured by DNSSEC include: .AG (Antigua and Barbuda), .BZ (Belize), .HN (Honduras) .LC (St. Lucia), and .VC (Saint Vincent and the Grenadines). These TLDs were officially signed by Afilias on October 5, 2010.
If you are a new TLD applicant, one of the key pieces of your plan is how you intend to go to market. Many applicants will be required by ICANN to use registrars, and there are many good reasons for this. Registrars understand the domain business, they are experienced domain marketers and most importantly, they have existing business relationships with many of the same registrants you will need to make your TLD successful.
Afilias' industry experience and best of breed technology offer a world-class, customizable solution to address any ccTLD's needs. Afilias offers a global platform, increasing exposure to a worldwide market. We are a proven partner, providing tested advice, technology, and expertise.
